Just ahead of the release of her new album The Practice of Love (due out this Friday 13th September), multi-talented musician, producer and writer Jenny Hval has revealed another astonishing taste of things to come. Arriving alongside a thought-provoking video directed by Zia Anger, 'Accident' is a public contemplation of what it means to exist, immersed within a surreal, synthesized soundscape. With Zia's own mother Barbara Anger playing the crucial maternal character in the clip, 'Accident' is a highly-conceptualised and intimate portrayal of Hval's own fascination with the circumstance surrounding our entrance to the world and the purpose of our time on earth. -Holly Mullineaux
